MEET YOUR HEAD INSTRUCTORS
ANGELA CICHOS
HEAD INSTRUCTOR
Ang has been playing ringette for 20 years; she grew up playing with the Port Coquitlam Ridge Meadows Ringette Association until 2010. In 2008, she started playing AA for the Lower Mainland Ringette League and played through until the end of U19 AA. Ang affiliated twice during that time with the BC Thunder NRL team (2012-2013 and 2014-2015) before becoming a full roster playing in the 2015-2016 season. She played from 2015-2021 on BC Thunder.
Outside of ringette, Ang is a student at SFU, working towards her Business Administration Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting. She has coached at various ringette camps since she was a teenager.
SAMI TAJBAKHSH
HEAD INSTRUCTOR
Sami has been playing ringette for 22 years; she grew up playing for North West Van, and quickly made the jump to AA. Playing AA from U14, through to U19 and competed at both the BC and Canada Winter Games. After AA, Sami played for the Montreal Mission and BC Thunder NRL team.
Outside of Ringette, Sami is a student and a full time preschool teacher. She is currently studying to complete her bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, to help reach her ultimate goal of becoming a paediatrician. Sami has coached various teams, camps and clinics… but cannot wait to start this camp with Ang!
We both grew up attending and coaching, the Rings A’ Fire ringette school and are
thrilled to keep it going!
